 Call for Nominations for Virginia’s 2010 Fantastic 50 Awards
It is time once again to recognize and honor companies throughout Virginia that are growing and creating jobs that will put Virginians back to work. Does that describe your organization or do you know a company in your community deserving of recognition?
The Virginia Chamber of Commerce would like to honor 50 such companies with one of its annual “Fantastic 50 Awards,” to be presented at a gala banquet in the spring of 2010. All Fantastic 50 winners receive valuable exposure through Virginia Business Magazine and local media.
We encourage you to throw your hat into the ring and nominate your company or a deserving company that has come to your attention!
The Fantastic 50 process is quick and simple.
Step 1. Go to www.goodmanco.com and fill out the Online Nomination Form. The form asks for basic contact information only and can be completed in just minutes.
Step 2. Once you have submitted the nomination form, the accounting firm of Goodman and Company will email you a request to complete the Verification Application. The verification application will require your company’s annual revenues for 2005 through 2008. This information is kept confidential upon request. The verification application must be completed no later than December 4th in order to be considered for the 2010 Fantastic 50 program.
The criteria for selection to become a Fantastic 50 winner is:
• Nominees must be privately held companies headquartered in Virginia.
• They will be ranked by four-year average growth rates (FY 2005 – FY 2008).
• Their base fiscal revenues must exceed $200,000 and their most recent fiscal revenues must be less than $100 million.
• They must also demonstrate positive revenue growth and positive net income in their most recent fiscal year compared to their previous year.
When the Call for Nominations closes on December 4th, representatives from Goodman and Company will begin verifying all information provided by nominees in order to produce the final ranking on the top 50. The winners will be notified by the Virginia Chamber in early February and will be presented with their awards on April 29th.
